Privacy Policy
Last updated June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aurora Study OS (“Aurora”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) basic profile details provided by Google.
- Study data — subjects, tasks, courses, grades, focus sessions, streaks, exam dates, and your chosen school system.
- Billing information — if you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Technical data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service (e.g. authentication tokens, error logs).
2. How we use your information
- To provide and personalise the Service (e.g. grade calculations).
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To process subscriptions and send transactional emails.
- To send optional study reminders and summaries (you can turn these off).
- To improve and maintain the Service.
3. Service providers
We share data only with the processors needed to run Aurora:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- Resend — transactional and reminder emails.
- Google — optional single sign-on.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Children & students
Aurora is designed for students, some of whom may be minors. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country (for example, under 13 in the United States or under 16 in parts of the EU), you must have a parent or guardian’s permission to use the Service. We collect only the data needed to provide the Service and do not knowingly use student data for advertising. Parents or guardians may contact us to review or delete a minor’s data.
5. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your profile and study data. Some records may be retained where required by law (e.g. payment records).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
